All Pigs Must Die are a “metalcore supergroup” of some labels are to believed, but I don’t know if that label does them any justice. Featuring members of Bloodhorse, The Hope Conspiracy, and Converge, the band obviously has metalcore and hardcore in its very DNA, but this band is so much bigger than that.
With a sound that has morphed from one thing to another and back again frequently across three albums and two EPs, APMD have covered hardcore, grindcore, and even almost become blackened death. They can master frantic chaos, and then also meticulous, trudging, sludge-inspires riffs.
The one consistent element though is it’s always powerful and unrelenting. A mixing pot of ‘core’ genres that is bigger and bolder than the some of its parts.
